Who We Are
The WhidbeyHealth Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1981 with a gift from the Waterman Medical Foundation to improve patient outcomes and their experience at WhidbeyHealth (Tax ID: 91-1147024).
Since 1981, the foundation has served as an advocate to improving the health and well-being of the community and as a financial resource to WhidbeyHealth.​
WhidbeyHealth Hospital & Clinics
For more than 50 years, WhidbeyHealth has believed that everyone on Whidbey Island deserves local access to high-quality healthcare. WhidbeyHealth provides patient centric healthcare, a safety net when emergencies happen, and peace of mind knowing our team is standing by 24/7 to respond to the needs of Whidbey Island residents and visitors. WhidbeyHealth System is comprised of the Medical Center in Coupeville, and ten (10) outpatient clinics across Whidbey Island.
WhidbeyHealth proudly holds accreditation from DNV (Det Norske Veritas), a renowned global certification authority specializing in healthcare accreditation. This prestigious recognition not only affirms the excellence of our hospital's specialty care programs but also underscores our unwavering commitment to upholding rigorous safety and quality standards in healthcare services. DNV's methodology seamlessly integrates established principles of quality and risk management with precise clinical and physical environment criteria, ensuring that our healthcare provision consistently meets and exceeds the highest benchmarks of excellence.
