Meet Rainy
Rainy Simpson is the Director of WhidbeyHealth Foundation, responsible for securing philanthropic support that ensures access to high quality healthcare for all on Whidbey Island. Rainy has a background in mental healthcare, nonprofit leadership and community organizing.
An Idaho native, Rainy relocated to Whidbey Island in 2017 drawn to the gorgeous natural scenery and charming community committed to so many worthwhile causes. Rainy entered Island service in various board governance roles, marketing and event coordination, and fundraising committee work. She served as Executive Director of Coupeville Historic Waterfront Association and is a Leadership Whidbey Graduate.
Rainy is thrilled to bring her leadership and nonprofit fundraising experience to the WhidbeyHealth Foundation along with her passion to support her community. You can find her enjoying all that the Salish Sea has to offer from flower gardening to hiking with her husband Chase and their three children.
